In Tyumen passed open championship of the city in the Greco-Roman wrestling, devoted to Day of the defender of the Fatherland

For awards conducted dispute of the young man of 1998-2000 year of birth. The competition to local athletes was made by fighters of Sverdlovsk and Kurgan areas, the Khanty-Mansi and Yamal-Nenets autonomous areas.

At solemn opening of tournament of youth the silver prize-winner of Olympic Games and world champion Vladimir Cheboksarov heading federation of Greco-Roman wrestling of the Tyumen region, veterans of sports Victor Kantyshev, Boris Mishatin, Valentin Bachinin, George Nechaev, Ekaterina Konovalova and others wished success. Prize-winners were defined in thirteen categories.

At residents of Tyumen owners of gold became Oleg Shvegzhda (weight to 38 kg), Ivan Kazakov (to 50 kg), Aslanbek Ismailov (to 54 kg) and Vladislav Isakov (to 76 kg). Also four awards of the highest test were taken by Kaskara's representatives – Albert Abdullin (to 58 kg), George Darakhfelidze (to 63 kg) and Danis Ramazanov (to 69 kg) and Denis Vavulin (to 85 kg). Four times  step on the top of a  podium residents of Surgut. Their structure won Maxim Kastanov (to 35 kg), Rahman Tavmurzayev (to 42 kg), Zubail Kurbanov (to 46 kg) and Ivan Kolchin (to 100 kg). Gold resident of Kurgan Vyacheslav Meshcheryakov (to 32 kg) deserved also.

Following the results of tournament the best team was called. To her fighters the special prize was awarded by Victor Kantyshev who, on February 20, celebrated 85-year anniversary. From Victor Yakovlevich the national team of Surgut got a trophy.
