Members of the International Olympic committee recognized the mistake concerning an exception of wrestling of the Olympic program.

Such opinion, making comments on the today's decision the IOC about wrestling inclusion in the GAmes-2020 program, "the 15th Region" was stated by the first vice-president of federation of wrestling of Russia, double Olympic champion Arsen Fadzayev.

"The first that there is a wish will note — members realized the IOC that the decision on an exception of wrestling from the Olympic program was hasty and wrong. The executive committee the IOC frankly surprised the whole world, having caused an indignation wave in Russia, the USA, Japan and Turkey which actively joined in upholding of interests of this sport — Fadzayev told. – The special role was played in this case by the president of our country Vladimir Putin who asked members the IOC to think over more attentively this question".

 The known sports functionary also noted also a role of FILA which carried out huge work. "Officials of the international federation of wrestling made everything from themselves dependent to keep wrestling in the Olympic wrestling, and the main thing – is reasoned convinced that the exception of wrestling will be wrong and will cause a wave of protests worldwide. I will note also a role of wrestlers Olympians who a wall rose in defense of interests of native sports, and some started returning the IOC the won medals" — Fadzayev told.

 One of the most right steps of FILA double Olympic champion Arsene Fadzayev called change of rules of wrestling which returned to the manumission and Greco-Roman wrestling former staginess. "This factor too, certainly, affected the positive decision the IOC which members were convinced that FILA took operational steps over staginess increase. The carried-out reform quickly yielded the fruits. To admit, about two months ago we for 97-98% were sure that wrestling remains the Olympic sport" — Fadzayev told.
