The General Assembly of the Pan-American Council (CPLA) took place on 4th April 2013 in Panama in the margin of the Pan-American Championship Senior.

Twenty seven national federations among the thirty one affiliated to CPLA participated in this assembly where the members of the CPLA Executive Committee were elected for the 2013-2017 period. The following candidates have been elected:

   President: Francisco Lee (GUA)

   Vice-president: Don Ryan (CAN)

   Secretary: Roberto Leitao  (BRA)

   Treasurer: Manuel García (PUR)

   Member: Eduardo Pérez Téllez (CUB)

   Member: Rick Tucci (USA)

   Member: Fanny Echeverry (COL)

The FILA acting President Mr Nenad Lalovic attended this assembly and was satisfied by the election of the CPLA Executive Committee.

Mr Francisco Lee Lopez, CPLA President since 2003, thanked the delegates for their support and promised to carry on his work for the sport of wrestling on this continent as the President of the Pan-American Council, member of the FILA Bureau and member of the FILA Technical Assistance and Development Department.
