250 athletes gathered in Odessa on tournament on Greco-Roman wrestling

New tradition on a sports Ukraine map. In our city I passed tournament on Greco-Roman wrestling of a name of the deserved trainer of Ukraine Konstantin Konstantinovich Pulcho. The competitions organized by pupils of the outstanding trainer, collected child youthful teams from all corners of the country.

22 teams, 250 athletes, 16 weight categories — short statistics of tournament on the Greco-Roman wrestling, devoted to outstanding trainer Konstantin Pulcho. In spite of the fact that these competitions take place for the first time, level — quite high.

Georgyy Tsonkov, chief judge of competitions: almost in each weight there are champions and prize-winners of Ukraine. That is competitions of very high level. Therefore there is a lot of wrestling, disputable fights, and not because judges aren't able to judge, and because heat very much at high level.

However, while level of participants set, generally not equipment and execution, and force and a pressure — the age of the majority of athletes is too small.

Nikolay Barabach, chairman of the sports society "Ukraine": here it is difficult because there are more than emotions, there are more than tears, it is more than crying, than equipment. But they only begin, and I think that already that desire with which they are adjusted — competitions began at 10:00, they already in a hall were in the 8th mornings. It means that children need movement, sports are necessary to children.

Tournament lasted for two days: qualification duels and semi-finals on Saturday, final meetings — on Sunday.

Alexander Lyubimov, young wrestler: I am attracted in wrestling that there throws can be done everyones — and to win. Achievements everyones. Tomorrow I will fight for the first place, and today won two — and all.

Artem Kozakov, participant of competitions: I unsuccessfully acted, once won, the second lost. Force didn't suffice, it is possible so to speak.

Kirill Dluzhnevsky, young athlete: today I one won also one lost. The rival was quicker.

The tournament organization on themselves was taken by Konstantin Konstantinovich Pulcho's pupils. They speak — the trainer made much for wrestling development, he put heart and soul in each athlete. And they want to continue its business.

Nikolay Kravchenko, organizer of competitions: children I brought together directly from the street, I exhausted to sports halls and I did good things. For it time, in 18-20 years of Ukraine, it trained many athletes — champions of Ukraine, champions of Europe, there are among us participants of Olympic Games.

Organizers hope that tournament of memory of Konstantin Pulcho becomes traditional.
