Results of the first day

Unlike free-style wrestling, the Greco-Roman wrestling championship of Georgia takes place not from dictation of skilled members of a national team. Today in sport center "Arena" medal events were held in four weight categories – 55, 66, 84 and 120 kg – and in two of them members of the youth national team got gold medals, and in one representative of age team won silver.

In weight category to 84 kg to the highest step of a pedestal there ascended the double bronze prize-winner ChE among wrestlers till 21 year, gardabanets Robert Kobliashvili. This guy became the champion of Georgia in the second time in a row, however unlike last year's, this time acted more surely. One that that costs that on a way to gold it overcame all main candidates for the national team. He won the initial stages taken in last year against third places  Revaz Nadareishvili (7:0) and Georgy Tsirekidze (8:1). It also surely overcame also Georgy Gochelashvili (7:0) and Nikoloz Kelasov (8:0). And in the final in intense fight, only thanks to the prevention, won against the finalist ChE Vladimir Gegeshidze.

In heavy weight the defending champion of Europe among young, the inhabitant Zkaltubo Jacob Kadzhaya best of all acted. Besides, he became a champion so that didn't give to rivals of any point. Its victory in the final over skilled Guram Perselidze whom it defeated in only 43 seconds was especially impressive. To this duel it moved away from a way Shota Gogisvanidze (4:0), Levan Arabuli (3:0) and Sergo Gogisvanidze (4:0).

One step didn't suffice to a title to companion Kobliashvili and Kadzhaya on the youth national team Nick Tsetskhladze (55 kg) – the representative of Adzharia easily passed Georgy Lominadze (8:0), Abesaloma Katamadze (9:0) and to Beka Balanchivadze (7:0), but in the final could do nothing against the team mate Goderdzi Davitadze (2:9) and was content with silver. Davitadze to a decisive victory won against Irakli Shavadze, Kakha Iremadze and Gizo Meladze.

The wrestler from Borjomi began performance with the second circle in which overcame Uchu Shavadze. A quarterfinal he won against Marad Abuladze (5:0), and a semi-final – David Takashvili (8:0).

Tomorrow medal events will be held in the remained three weight categories - 60, 74 and 96 kg.
