The international tournament on Greco-Roman wrestling on a prize of memory of the Hero of socialist work L. I. MAKSIMOVA, passed in sport center "Vega", was anniversary: it was carried out on the Berdsk earth for the 35th time.

As organizers of tournament acted Federation of Greco-Roman wrestling of Berdsk, with the participation of a city administration, department of youth affairs. Significant help to organizers was given by social partners: JSC BEMZ, firm "Stroysib", Fond "Memorial of the three times Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Pokryshkin." Anniversary tournament of memory of MAKSIMOV gathered on the arena of 12 teams from the cities of Russia and Kazakhstan and passed at high level. "Let these competitions in Berdsk become for you the beginning happy journey and achievements in big-time sports! " - organizers addressed participants of competitions.

And for many this tournament became very successful, the Berdsk  wrestlers proved to be on it more than adequately. First place in a team competition was won by team of Novosibirsk, the amicable team from Berdsk became the second, the third was occupied by team from Petropavlovsk (Kazakhstan). In personal offset 3 athletes from our city rose by the highest step of a podium: this is the prize-winner of Superiority of Russia of 2013 Victor PETRENKO, the winner of competitions of Siberian federal district in a younger age category Artem TRUTNEV and Alexander PANKIN. The second place in the age categories defended: Artem SHALGANOV, Stepan PLEKHANOV, Alexey SAMBURSKIKH. The third place was taken by Victor BASHIROV.

According to the master of sports of the USSR, the chairman of Federation of Greco-Roman wrestling, the honored worker of physical culture and sports Valery SHISHKOV, Greco-Roman wrestling develops in Berdsk rather successfully, in Novosibirsk this sport in general became one of the leaders:

- Many athletes who fought in Berdsk on tournament of memory of the Hero of socialist work MAKSIMOVA, reached high sports tops. The medal first in the life was won on tournament of memory of MAKSIMOVA by the champion of the Olympic Games in Seoul, Barcelona and Atlanta Alexander KARELIN, the champion of the Olympic Games in London Roman VLASOV spoke at the Berdsk tournament. We here grow up champions, we cultivate patriotism, we hold in remembrance the Hero of work, the worker of BEMz which passed war and glorified the Berdsk enterprise. This tournament is necessary to our boys, the Berdsk sports as a whole.
