During stay in the Tyumen region the triple winner of the Olympic Games Aleksandr Karelin met pupils of children's and youth sports schools and sections on Greco-Roman wrestling, pupils of educational institutions, watched a course of duels of the 53rd international tournament on Greco-Roman wrestling of the Grand Prix of Ivan Poddubny.

- First, I want to express gratitude to the governor of the Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev which the fifth year in a row assumes care and heads organizing committee "Ivan Poddubny's Memorial". Tyumen "five-years period" is special pages in more than semicentennial history of competitions in which I too happened to wrestling. It is indicative that the number of the foreign sports delegations coming on peculiar opening of a new sports season increases every year. This year tournament collected not only the titled participants – world champions, Europe, winners and prize-winners of the Olympic Games, but also a galaxy of wrestling stars of last years. Among guests of honor of competitions there were a double winner of the Olympic Games Valery Rezantsev, the winner of the Olympic Games and the president of Federation of wrestling of Russia Mikhail Mamiashvili, winners of the Olympic Games Varteres Samurgashev and Aslanbek Hushtov. The double winner of Olimpiad Armen Nazaryan from Bulgaria, winners of Games Ryshard Volny from Poland, Kamandar Madzhidov from Belarus arrived on "Poddubny" as trainers, the Pole, the double winner of the Olympic Games Andrzej Vronsky was one of heads of a carpet. Such concentration of the well-known experts speaks not only about high wrestling level of tournament, but also about worthy conditions which the Organizing committee offers guests and participants, and it means that in Tyumen there is a developed hotel infrastructure, the main sports arena conforms to requirements imposed by the International federation of wrestling (FILA) by preparation of so representative competitions.

The contribution of residents of Tyumen to development and promotion of Greco-Roman wrestling was adequately noted. At the opening ceremony of the Memorial of Poddubny the president of Federation of wrestling of Russia Mikhail Mamiashvili handed over to the president of Federation of Greco-Roman wrestling of the Tyumen region, the world champion Vladimir Cheboksarov the certificate on acquisition of three wrestling mats which are let out by the Olimp company. By the way, at the closing ceremony of "Poddubny" the governor of the Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev declared that in 2015 and in 2016 Tyumen becomes again a venue of this tournament. Thus, the Tyumen public has a unique opportunity, again to track evolution of formation of an Olympic team of Russia, so was before the Olympic Games in London, so will be before Games in Rio de Janeiro.

And you too had gifts for residents of Tyumen?

- Yes, books about Ivan Poddubnom, about wrestlers-classics-Siberian. We arrived to the Tyumen region a day before the beginning of competitions and at once, from the train, went to Tobolsk. The road local children told about Kaskar's surprising mudflow where the section of Greco-Roman wrestling works more than 30 years. I remembered that on the 50th tournament in honor of Ivan Poddubny, before the finals which took place in the Tyumen circus, there were the demonstration performances prepared just by wrestlers from Kaskara, and was decided that after visit of Tobolsk we will surely come around in Kaskar and we will meet the colleagues.

Tobolsk impressed – the majestic, white stone Kremlin, a beautiful view from the Sofia Assumption Cathedral belltower where the Siberian Tsar Bell, the real work of the Voronezh masters of foundry art, sincere people is established. Our group was met by the mayor of Tobolsk Vladimir Masur.

After two-hour excursion we went to children's and youth sports school "Leader", there took place a meeting for which children and parents of young athletes, local journalists gathered.

Greco-Roman wrestling in Tobolsk revives, the section in "Leader" opened 4 years ago while a little more than 40 children, however the trainer Sultan Ramazanov who in the recent past, "Karelin's Prize" was sure by the bronze medallist here are engaged that wrestling will be also popular soon, as well as other sports traditional for Tobolsk.

There were many interesting questions of wrestling, of the upcoming Olympic Games in Sochi, how to live adequately, but nobody complained of disorder. In the Middle Ages Tobolsk was the center of the biggest province of Russia - from Ural to the Far East (!) . The history, once main town of Siberia, is closely bound with history of formation of the Russian statehood, Imperial House of Romanovs. It is sure, it gives an idea of special attitude of residents of Tobolsk – they don't feel like provincials, they are proud that live and work at the earth where the subjugator of Siberia Yermak Timofeyevich was at war with the khan Kuchum where Dmitry Mendeleyev where were born the Russian composer, the pianist, the conductor Alexander Alyabyev, the friend of an imperial family, "the great aged man and the healer" Grigory Rasputin and many others studied and made revolutionary discoveries.

Judging by mood in a hall, locals understand that a lot of things depend on them – success, prosperity, stability, happiness – the main thing not to be afraid of work, to trust in the forces, to be honest and exacting to itself. Simple words, but that they worked them should be filled with the contents.

Once again it is possible to be convinced of correctness of Petr Arkadyevich Stolypin who told: "The true force of the Russian State in healthy, prosperous and able-bodied population".

I transferred Evgeny Kotenko's books to library DYuSSh "Leader" "Ivan Poddubny – the champion of champions" and Aleksandra Shirshikova "The Siberian Greek-Roman". We prepared the same set also to wrestlers from Kaskar's village. The way from Tobolsk to Kaskara took 3 hours, arrived to the village at 11 o'clock in the evening. Nevertheless, in a small cozy gym was many children and adults.

Boys from section of wrestling prepared the small indicative program: showed dizzy somersaults, effective throws, and, to the accompaniment of the trainer, sang the lyrical song about force … love (! ! ! ) . Questions asked both children, and adults, and the meeting traditionally – came to the end with photography and distribution of autographs.

In Tyumen you too met children?

- In the press center of the Memorial of Poddubny, and still me invited in Club of informal communication to "A nonrandom meeting" which works at school No. 94.

This youngest educational institution of Tyumen which has opened in September, 2013 in the third Zarechny under construction the residential district. Angell's director Walther told that the school 94 is built according to the unique modern project rapidly. However efficiency of builders is combined with high quality of the performed works - spacious, light classes, corridors, the impressive sizes library, the assembly hall where it is possible to spend holidays and evenings, seminars not only school, but also the city scale, two gyms. In an amicable way, it is possible to envy pupils and teachers of school, I hope that pupils of school 94 adequately use given the chance by it to gain knowledge and skills which will be useful to them in adult life.

How effectively to dispose of the opportunities, that means to love the Homeland, we talked at Club meeting. After such meetings you are convinced of injustice of remarks that "Russia has no future that our children don't know the price to work, than aren't interested except computer games and social networks".

At school No. 94 five-day educational week, and on Saturday here I act various open classrooms. Our meeting took place in the opening day of the Memorial of Poddubny therefore I invited children to competitions that they got acquainted with our sport. After all, I am obliged to Greco-Roman (Greek-Roman) wrestling by such attention, wrestling is not only a sport, but also the basic principle of the organization of our life, fills our everyday life with bright paints and impressions.
