Today the Tambov national team returned from the Greco-Roman wrestling championship of Russia among athletes hard of hearing persons which took place in Moscow on February 25-26. We met the trainer and athletes that our readers firsthand learned about last competitions.

We will remind that the Tambov wrestlers brought two medals – "gold" at Vladislav Tarasov and "bronze" at Alexey Terekhin.

Vladislav Tarasov — Deaflympic the champion of Russia on Greco-Roman wrestling

"I am very glad to a victory – not very well that it is the Olympic Games or the championship of Russia, it is necessary to win always. I wanted to become a champion and I him became" — the winner Vladislav Tarasov explains, as usual modestly smiling.

The trainer Tofik Pashayev added that Vlad finished wrestling perfectly, as well as it is necessary to the Deaflympic champion – accurately, competently, beautifully. Vladislav won three victories and rose by the highest step of a podium.

Alexey Terekhin who had earlier only experience of performance on juniors, became the third. For Wood goblins successfully there passed lot, but also he tried to be among prize-winners. And here Zhenya Zheltukhin and Maxim Druzhkin remained without medal. Though on them, along with Tarasov Jr., rested special hopes. Skilled athletes, with good base, but … it didn't develop.

Both of them acted in one weight – to 130 kg. Evgeny for the first time tested in the tyazhakh.

Next year there will be a selection on the European championship, candidates for the Deaflympic national team will be already selected therefore to prepare it is necessary to begin already now. The championship of Russia showed that now it is necessary to heal old injuries, and then to correct weight and to remain in former weight category. Meanwhile it is the main outcome of competitions, significant for us. As for Maxim Druzhkin, I stirred him old injuries, it is heavy to act when something disturbs you".

I couldn't overcome excitement and young "Greek" Ilya Kuzmin. Probably it didn't have enough competitive experience and he lost in the first fight.
