About tournament we were told by one of judges of competitions, the trainer of uglichsky club "Vympel", Evgeny Gluzgal. 

Tournament became selection on the mixed single combats championship of Russia.  The federation which is headed by Fedor Emelyanenko will be the main organizer of the championship.  To Yaroslavl there arrived athletes from 12 regions.  The strongest revealed among 60 applicants.  In total 80 fights were carried out. 

From Uglich in the championship of area the pupil of club of fighting sports "Pennant" Kirill Shmelev took part.  In due time Kirill passed selection round of regional competitions.  The structure of participants was very strong:  there were many masters of sports and the deserved masters of sports.  Unfortunately our fellow countryman couldn't pass on a country cup, however showed very good level of preparation having reached a semi-final of sorvenovaniye and having conceded only to Tarkhan Tsiskarishvili. 

Honor of the Yaroslavl region on the Cup of Russia which will pass in September in Vladivostok, will be protected by resident of Yaroslavl Tarkhan Tsiskarishvili. Other Resident of Yaroslavl Victor Smirnov took the 2nd place, and he already to go on national championship.
