About that there is such type of wrestling as judo, knows, perhaps, everyone. But as judo in Armenia and Russia arose, know the few. Artush Kasemyan — the deserved coach of Russia, the master of sports of the USSR on judo and sambo wrestling, the honourable president of Federation of judo of Armenia, the vice-president of the Moscow union of veterans of judo, imnno the one who knows about judo everything and even more.

— Artush Frunzikovich when your life included judo?

— From 10 years I actively went in for sports — at first it was sambo and national Armenian wrestling Koch. Then judo gradually began to get into Armenia. My trainer Saribek Avetyan — one of founders of judo in Armenia. I was lucky to become one of his first pupils.

— What interesting knowledge you can share with young athletes?

— All of us grow professionally and we try to impart our knowledge to new generation. But the teacher I don't call myself — rather an instructor. During training at Kirovakan state teacher training college and after its termination I was engaged in trainer's activity. You start training teenagers and you don't notice how professional athletes grow from them.

— You, probably, are proud of many?

— Our martial artists dispersed worldwide. Beginning from Rostov on Don where one of pupils, Apet Vardanyan, became the president of Federation of sambo, and finishing Ecuador — there "brought" Tigran Karganyan, now he trains the female national team of Ecuador on judo. Especially we are proud of our hero — Olympic champion Arsene Galstyan.

Always it is necessary to remember that sports — are policy. And in policy support is necessary as anywhere. Also I want to mark out our children participating in the Armenian ending of youth championship of Europe on judo in Prague on November 16 — 19, 2012. The winner — to Aram to Grigoryan — on a way to gold should carry out five difficult duels with the titled rivals. Final wrestling with the representative of Ukraine Gevorgom Hachatryan became the most difficult. Azerbaijanian Safarov quite successfully speaking already and at adult tournaments became one more of his rival on a semifinal duel. But this experience didn't help it to master Grigoryan. Here on what our Armenian athletes are capable.

— It is so much love and admiration in your words …

— When in 2005 I became the deserved trainer of Russia, I was once again convinced that my task — to take under the aegis the Armenian children in Russia and to make of them worthy athletes. We together with the world champion and Europe, the president of Federation of judo of Armenia Vardan Voskanyan try to organize them, to support. After all without administrative support they will simply be gone. So, last year we created the children's sports and educational association "Leader" in which the Armenian boys and girls are engaged in sambo and judo. It is pleasant that athletes take part in creation of the similar organizations from capital letter — Olympic champion Vladimir Nevzorov and the fivefold world champion, the president of the Central federal district Vladimir Shkalov. "Leader" already holds various festivals, competitions. Let's continue in the same spirit.

— Not the secret that the president of Russia Vladimir Putin, is keen on judo. Whether you connect it with a demand and lifting of this type of single combat in Russia?

— Certainly. Thanks to Vladimir Vladimirovich judo became one of national sports of Russia. I can note still that interest to judo increased after the Olympic Games, and across all Russia.

— In Russia the situation with judo pleases. And how affairs in Armenia are?

— It isn't so good, as in Russia, unfortunately. After disorder of the USSR there was nothing, even a tatami. We with Vardan Voskanyan with support Ashota Markaryana try in all ways to help and improve the provision of judo in Armenia. Actively we are helped, by the way, by Arsene Galstyan, for what to him separate thanks. Recently sent a tatami, we plan to send still a board for competitions — it doesn't suffice, it became necessary to keep count vruchnuyuyuny Armenian athletes already to leave on competitions — recently to Tver on a cup of Europe there arrived 15 people. We even plan to hold in Yerevan the European cup on judo.

— At judoists as well as all athletes, have luck and bad luck periods. Why it, in your opinion, depends?

— From belief. Only from it. Before the Olympic Games in London I very much worried and supported Arsene Galstyan (Russia), Armen Nazaryan, Oganez Davtyan (Armenia) and since morning went to church. God heard my prayer, and our children successfully acted.

— Usually the people who have succeeded in the profession, aspire that children went on their feet. Tell about your children. They inherited love of the father to judo?

— I have one son — Artem and two beautiful daughters — Armenui and Ania. For daughters of judo — it is rather lessons of self-defense from the father, elementary skills. And here Artem is engaged, however, special eagerness too doesn't show — it carry away the mathematician and other exact sciences more. And he wants to become a lawyer. The daughter presented to me the granddaughter, and to me it is unimportant, whether there is she a sportswoman, the main thing that it was healthy and successful. For what children at me, I am grateful the spouse Luce. It perfectly brought up them. We together 30 years. Thanks to it I achieved much — after all it so important when you always understand, wait and support.

— What would you like to wish to young athletes, or perhaps and to their parents?

— I want to wish that children were always healthy and had big aspiration, desire to self-realization — then about their talents all country learns. And to parents I will advise to have the finger on the pulse always — not to miss the moment, as they say. If the child shows interest to sports, it is impossible to pull, it is necessary to develop. Also I want to address to Armenians. We always have to remember that we — the strong people. With us belief. With us victory. With us God.
