The head of Federation of wrestling — about level of tournament in University games and arrival of the president of Russia on final fights of wrestlers

The glorified Russian wrestler, the president of Federation of wrestling Mikhail Mamiashvili in exclusive interview to "News" told about the best representatives of the sport, estimated level of competitions and compared final fights on student's games to the Olympic.

— You managed to look at all preliminary fights of representatives of Russia? How you can comment?

— Yes, I looked at all performances, from the first fight to the semifinal. I hope that I will see all endings. The most important that our children are well prepared, as show here. Spirit of wrestlers fine, they realize the status and the importance of action. Besides we act at home and we are one of leaders in the world on this sport, so, are obliged to achieve only a victory.

—  You tell about the high status of competitions, that is level of wrestlers of rival teams not less high, than at Russians?

—  All participants of competitions on wrestling — both as a part of a Russian team, and in structures of rivals — prize-winners and winners of the European championships, the world and Olympic Games.  In one of weight categories "easy walk" also couldn't be.  Our heavyweight, the champion of Olympic Games in London Alan Khugayev even didn't get to the three.

— In weight to 74 kg Russian Denis Tsargush from whom on a world championship and the Olympic Games the victory waited acts, but he lost decisive fights. Whether it will be able to return on leading positions?

— Let's begin with that Denis lost not to someone, and future Olympic champion from the USA. It couldn't cope with it just in final part of Games though it was on forces. I think that Tsargush drew conclusions, and I hope that we will see results of these conclusions during the today's ending.

— As a whole that you can tell about the University games organization in Kazan?

— If to tell frankly, instead of flatteries for the sake of, besides for me competitions of such level far not the first, I can tell that level very high. Preparing for University games, organizers carried out a huge number of competitions, including World Cup stages,  national wrestling championships. The most important that for athletes as ours, and guests, the comfortable situation here is created. On the one hand, there is a strict and rigid control, but with another — it isn't something persuasive, and everything perfectly understands everyone.

— How you consider, after all games student's, such special attention doesn't disturb athletes?

— Children are happy with everything, as well as the audience. The attention to competition of the first person of the state, president Vladimir Putin which arrival is planned for the endings, gives the special status to wrestling. If the head of the country arrives on our competitions, that, is sure, the Russian wrestlers inspired with such support, will win all gold. We after all saw that our judoists on Olympic Games in London in the presence of the president of the country made.
