About perspectives of development of this sport in the republic the correspondent of RIA talks to the president of Federation of wrestling of a grappling across North Caucasus federal district, the representative of academy of the Brazilian ju-jitsu of "Greysi Barra" in Russia Murad Abdullaev.

Murad, tell a little about grappling history.

– Grappling as the sport, appeared in the United Arab Emirates in 1998. The author of a grappling is sheikh Takhtun bin Zaid al Nakhayan, the son of the leader of the United Arab Emirates of that time of sheikh Zaid. In 1993году, after UFC viewing, sheikh Takhtun became interested in MMA. Soon after that he started training ju-jitsu to San Diego, the State of California.

By the way, to this day there are one of the strong schools on BZhZh. Upon termination of training sheikh Takhtun returned to the United Arab Emirates and aimed to create the vision of implementation of martial arts, namely to create the standard of rules in order that different styles of fight could implement the advantages. For these purposes Abu Dhabi Combat Clab was created. The sheikh began a top of instructors on the Brazilian ju-jitsu, judo, free-style wrestling, sambo with employment. The idea of sheikh Takhtun has the development and on the American continent. After ADCC there are two organizations: NAGA (North American Grappling Association) and Grapplers Quest.

The international association of amateur fight (the oldest wrestling organization - FILA), representing in the international Olympic committee Greco-Roman wrestling and freestyle fight, launched the project of a grappling which now and gained recognition in Russia since January, 2013 as a part of wrestling Federation. That is, the grappling is the hybrid combat sport including receptions and technique of different types of wrestling, ju-jitsu, fighting sambo and other types of combat sports. Art of a grappling consists in forcing the opponent to be given by means of use of technique of painful impacts on joints of hands and feet, and as different suffocating receptions. The Grappling is one of the major components in practice of the Mixed martial arts (MMA), and also is recognized as effective system of self-defense.

– How the grappling got to Russia and to us to Dagestan?

– In Russia the grappling appeared not so long ago as far as I remember, the Yavara-sport club which was open at center of Moscow in 1998 was the pioneer of fight in orchestra seats. At the beginning of 2010 we held the first tournament on a grappling – the championship of Dagestan, in No. 4 sports school, in that hall where we trained (by the way about which many forgot for today). After that I decided to devote myself completely to fight, fight development in orchestra seats, without distracting on shock technique. In 2011 I departed to Brazil, to Rio de Janeiro, to the residence of academy of Greysi Bar for acquaintance with the new techniques, new techniques of trainings. There also I received a sentence to represent academy of Greysi Barra in Russia, on what willingly agreed. Today we have communication not only with academy of Greysi, but also with many leading clubs of the world, last year held the first seminar on which came already and children from Russia. In the summer of this year we plan to organize still similar actions, we carry on negotiations.

– As far as I know, you implement the "DCC-academy of tactical fight-a grappling" project.

– "DCC – academy of tactical fight – the grappling" is an official name. It is possible to call simpler – DCC club. Club as that appeared in 2008. Everything began with domestic children. The first lesson of ju-jitsu received in the city of Makhachkala. At that time I tried many types of single combats, was engaged both Thai boxing, and free-style wrestling, and sambo. Everywhere after the first small successes I felt any shortage, often I analyzed these or those situations in full-contact fight. I want to note that I was pushed on it not by desire to win or be stronger, I didn't feel feeble never, weakness for me concept not physical. And I was engaged only from interest to fighting sports. Example for me was my father who too trained in due time and trained on sambo and judo. I heard from his friends and his brothers about its service in army, in special armies much. I still had a lot of literature from it on physical training and technique of fight in which I and now find something interesting.

In 2008 I got to a hall to Abdoul Magomedov, thanks to trainings and the relation to which business I understood that джиу is that me interests. By the way, I want to note, as today many of leaders of the Dagestan grappling are initially his pupils. From it I heard for the first time about ADCC and about the Brazilian ju-jitsu. In 2009 I rented a hall in which we trained and talked. In some years in our club there were first small champions, the main handwriting in which victories was ability to work in orchestra seats. Then I also started noting that in the Russian world of single combats already start understanding the significance of a grappling as look. Then every month our hall began to be replenished. Then I yet didn't practise orchestra seats. But our hall already had the handwriting, and athletes already were famous for operation in orchestra seats. After that the dense operation on parterny technique went more.

In 2010 to year I got acquainted with Ibrahim Gagayev with whom we now and develop our D.C.C. After several months of collaboration we had far-reaching plans on grappling and BZhZh development. Having communication with our transatlantic friends, considering their history of development, we defined many defects in training process of our children, many pedagogical errors. Then there were first thoughts on the project account D. Combat Club. And here I can tell that official date of creation of club it is possible to consider 2011. The name has no basic value, in this project we plan to include all wishing clubs. Today we have branch in Sochi. We help with training process to Krepost club of Moscow. The Grappling and BZhZh is only began, one of components, is planned to expand operation of this club. The project is aimed at team operation as development is planned in different areas – the functional preparation, high-speed and force preparation, MMA.

– There is a lot of champions?

– The first steps of our project are calculated on time till 5 years, but after a year we can safely declare the results: Kurban Gadzhiev (the 3-fold world champion on pankration, the master of sports on fighting sambo, a magenta belt on BZhZh), Anzor Gadzhiev (a magenta belt on BZhZh, the owner of a cup of the Emirates on BZhZh and a grappling), Rustam Abakarov (the world champion, Europe, Russia on hand-to-hand fight according to the FCF version), Karimula Gamiyev (the champion of Russia on grappling, the winner of the international tournament on pankration), Shamil Magomedov (the champion of Dagestan, Russia and the international tournament on FILA grappling, the world champion in complex single combat in the section a mix-fayt), Marat Gafurov (nowadays the owner of a M1 belt in weight category of 65 kg), Souleymane Abacharayev (nowadays one of our instructors on a grappling and ju-jitsu), Magomedzagir Gadzhiev (the head coach of the Leningrad region, the champion of the Northwest federal district on ADCC to a grappling, the trainer of Lion north west club – St. Petersburg, a blue belt on BZhZh), Surkhay Asadulayev (nowadays one of the best grappler of Russia in weight category to 66 kg, the champion of Russia on fighting ju-jitsu), etc.

Later "drummers" joined us also, many of which now in the mixed single combats, such as Mahomed "Tiger" Magomedov, Aygum "Akhiles" Akhmedov, Murad "Hunter" Abdullaev and many others very not bad appear. In our club such fighters, as Shakhbulat Shamkhalayev (the repeated world champion in the mixed single combats, nowadays excellent appearing over the ocean), Rasheed Magomedov (the owner of a M1 belt, was trained to fight with Yasubi Enomoto, and also to protection of a M1 belt against Alexander Yakovlev), Ramazan Emeev – the owner of a M1 belt in weight category of 84 kg (I had together with us training in orchestra seats on fight for a champion belt with Mario Miranda) put parterny technique. It is possible to list more many known names to which we helped which train, train now and in other clubs.

Today we place emphasis on young, younger generation, tuned and purposeful people. We plan sending to leading clubs of the world, for training abroad some most successful fighters. Today Dagestan is a center of a grappling in Russia.

– What else clubs and sporting schools at us in the republic cultivate this sport?

– In addition to club DCC, in a grappling are engaged in "TOP TEAM", "Mountaineer", "Dagestan" - Makhachkala, Fighting Eagle – Khasavyurt, is and some more young clubs, names now I won't recall.

– There is a lot of qualified a grappling coachs?

– Yes. For today it is possible to tell that trainer's process at last started changing. We have a young composition of specialists trainers – and it is very good. These people are complete of enthusiasm, work, acquire new knowledge. Today the modern fighters a cut above those athletes who appeared in the past. It means that now trainers use absolutely other, more effective preparation of fighters on trainings.

– What strong school of a grappling in a pattern?

– To select specifically any now it is very difficult. San Diego – the USA, I think, it is possible to select as a separate place where many strong clubs as there they are well financed are concentrated. The best experts also are exactly there. But "cradle", certainly, is Brazil. Grow to them far, but I think, in the near future we will manage to catch up with them. You shouldn't dismiss our rich wrestling experience, but thus, certainly, an important role is played also by support as from the state, and simply sponsor's.

– Whether there is at Federation of a grappling of Russia the official site?

– The All-Russian Federation of a grappling has the site: rusgrappling.ru. We also will create the site about a grappling of "DCC". Information on a site will be provided in full, all planned and held events for BZhZh, MMA, a grappling in Russia, as well as on a pattern will enter there.

– Further plans of Federation of a grappling?

– In January, 2013 the grappling was a part of wrestling of Russia. It would happen sooner or later as worldwide mass employment by this sport already went. Take simply statistical data: facebook, twitter... also compare in relation to other sports. The response is obvious. I think, and the Olympic committee doesn't remain indifferent, this business of time.

The destiny of a grappling in Russia, its history this year began with a new leaf. The last championship showed, as the number of supporters of this sport increases, and growth of technique goes with great strides. For example, more than 250 people took part in selection on the championship of Russia on the North Caucasus federal district tournament in Dagestan. It is the largest tournament from all official which passed in the territory of Russia. And fortunately, despite problematical character of the regions participating in this tournament, everything passed quite smoothly. I think, it is a merit of all command which works in this the moment over federation development. I hope, this composition will remain. I think for those who is excited by destiny of a grappling is it will be enveloped only by favor. Now there is a task to win medals on World games of martial arts, further development of a grappling depends on it in Russia directly. The prior step in preparation for World games is the World Cup and Europe. We passed it successfully – following the results of a year Russia showed the higher result among all national teams of the world and received the greatest number of licenses for involvement in World games of 2013. Collections and thorough training will be carried out, will be invited the instructor.

In the republic we will hold in the fall the Open cup of Dagestan on a grappling, and also demonstrative tournament with involvement of the strongest grappler of Dagestan and other regions of Russia.
