Yesterday in the Palace of a name of Ivan Yarygin passed the 8th Festival of traditional types of wrestling of the different people of Russia. The Siberian, Caucasian, Tatar and Bashkir wrestlers took part in it.

Tens athletes from various Russian regions and areas annually gather on a festival. This year it was devoted to the 72nd anniversary of the Battle of Moscow. The organizer of a sports festival – Department of interregional cooperation, national policy and communications with the religious organizations of Moscow.

The 8th Festival of traditional types of wrestling of the different people of Russia represents open personal team championship among national and cultural associations and capital associations by four types of the program: traditional types of wrestling of the people of the Caucasus, the people of Siberia, the Russian wrestling and wrestling on belts. Among winners and prize-winners absolute championship in the Russian wrestling for a vorotok by the uniform unified rules for the purpose of identification of the all-around champion of a festival is carried out.

Event is held in Moscow annually and shows to the general public variety of sports traditions of the people of Russia, cultivates feeling of respect to traditions, customs and culture of fraternal peoples of our country at youth, serves promoting of traditional types of wrestling of the people of Russia.

In an official opening ceremony of a festival the Deputy Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the Russian Federation Bulat  Mingnuling. It transferred to organizers, participants and guests sports action a greeting from the deputy prime minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – the Plenipotentiary of RT in the Russian Federation Ravil Akhmetshin, reports the press center of Plenipotentiary representation of RT in the Russian Federation.

In it, in particular, it is spoken: "The festival of national types of wrestling of the people of Russia is an important event in a sports calendar of Moscow. Here it is possible to see expressional wrestling of the people of the Caucasus, taking tataro-Bashkir wrestling on belts, original wrestling of the people of Siberia and daring Russian national wrestling for a vorotok.

The different types of wrestling created during much centuries are unique means of physical development. It not only sports, but preservation of national traditions, national culture of the people occupying our great Russia.

Revival of national traditions in sports and interest amplifying every year to them testifies that people protect the national culture. Wrestling is always competition of characters. I wish to participants of a festival of beautiful wrestling and deserved victories!"

Bulat  Mingnuling in the performance noted that traditional types of wrestling of the people of Russia – in particular, wrestling on belts – gain the increasing recognition in the world. "Last year at this festival I invited athletes to take part in the World summer University games in Kazan, and this year in July following the results of Games we congratulated a Russian team which with a record separation won a sure victory. Well also it is over, the big contribution to this victory was made by the Russian national team on wrestling on belts which took the first command place, having won 12 gold medals. In total in offset of our wrestlers of 19 medals", - told Bulat Rakhimullovich and invited youth, school students and students to be engaged in national types of wrestling, to popularize and develop them.

The Deputy Plenipotentiary following the results of a festival handed over a picture with a view of Kazan to the wrestler Rustam Izmaylov who has taken the second place in the tataro-Bashkir wrestling on belts in weight category to 80 kg.
