The participant of the Olympic Games-1996, and then one of instructors of a trainer's staff of the national team of Belarus on the Olympic Games-2004 Natik Bagirov told about SAMBO development in Belarus

— Probably, as there are no former scouts, so there are no former sambo wrestlers also. Having stopped to fight actively, I passed to trainer's work — was the senior judo coach of the national Belarusian team. Also I did it rather successfully: from all competitions we came with medals, and the main thing — brought "gold" from Olympic Games in Athens.

For many years I wasn't in sports, but sons returned me back thanks to that actively are engaged. The senior, Anar, now went to study, and younger more, Arif, professionally acts both in SAMBO, and in judo. Besides, the management of the Belarusian federation of SAMBO and all of the trainer of the national team — is my close friends.

— Today in Belarus sambo wrestlers train together with judoists …

— Unlike the same Russia, we have a small country therefore we shouldn't be scattered by athletes who can show results both in SAMBO, and in judo. Recently the chairman of the Belarusian federation of SAMBO Vladimir Yaprintsev headed as well national federation of judo. First, the trainer's staff was updated — each person collects the team of adherents. Secondly, the relation of athletes and trainers to business became other.

— Of what achievement you are proud, and what would like to change?

— I am proud of all results, they are expensive to me equally. If that knowledge which at me now to eat, give to that Natik who was 15-20 years ago, at least twice better would appear results — Bagirova quotes the Official site of the International Federation of SAMBO.
