Command of the Samara connection of VV Ministry of Internal Affairs with support of a thought of Samara became the organizer of the championship of the Volga regional command of the internal troops (IT) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The first vice-president of a thought of Samara Nikolay Mitryanin and the deputy administrator of department , sports and tourism Andrey Tretjakov, Olympic champion Tagir Haybulayev took part in solemn opening concerning culture. "We are glad that competitions take place the third year, and every year number of participants increases", - Nikolay Mitryanin noted.

55 wrestlers participated in the championship. The competition to the Samara judoists was made by wrestlers of Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Cheboksary. According to the chief of physical training of the Samara connection of VV Ministry of Internal Affairs Vitaly Gundrov, following the results of tournament the national team on judo for performance in the VV MVD championship of Russia in St. Petersburg will be created. As the chairman of City Council of Samara Alexander Fetisov noted, "tournament on judo of memory of the Hero of Russia Evgenia Zolotukhina became the real event in sports life of the city".
