Within the championship of Europe in Budapest there took place the traditional Gala devoted not only summing up a past, Olympic, years, but also to the 65 anniversary of creation of the European union of judo.

The  championship of Europe-2012 in Chelyabinsk became the winner in the section "The Best Event of Year". The man's Russian national team which won a title of the world champion in Brazil and has won five awards on the Olympic Games in London was recognized as the best team of 2012. The team coach – Ezio Gamba became "The trainer of year", and the Olympic referee Vladimir Vostrikov in the second time in a row received an award as "The best judge". The gold award of the International federation of judo for merits of the European union of judo was handed over by Marius Vizerom to head of EJU Sergey Soloveychik.

Olympic champions from France Teddie Riner and Lucy Dekos became athletes of year according to the version of the European union of judo.

The Olympic and world progress of Russians in 2012 was made by Ezio Gamba the real hero of the country. After disgraceful performance of Russians on the Olympic tatami in Beijing, British "crop" of our team forced to speak about the Russian judo yours faithfully. Head coach "drim-Tim" Italian Ezio Gamba the Olympic champion-80 preferred to keep in time of Igr-2012 a little away from enthusiastic admirers and ubiquitous journalists, but in the  championship of Europe-2013 in Budapest with it as the general judo manager of Russian national team, it was succeeded to talk quite in details.

"Not I then was the main person Games in London, and athletes, - told Gamba in exclusive interview of ITAR-TASS. – It was necessary to speak about children, them to show, it was their hour of triumph".

- But after all you completely are responsible for what they "did" on Games?

- I will repeat, it they won Olympic Games, they are champions, instead of I. My fanfares finished ringing 35 years ago. All previous fourth anniversary I simply did the work.

- What occurs in Russian national team after the Olympic Games? All functioned?

- Any athlete of the national team didn't leave. All work.

- After the Olympic Games the decision was made that you will be responsible and for preparation of a women's team of the country. Thus teams – both man's and female will work together. Whether it will affect sports level of a strong half of mankind?

- Certainly, to girls it is easier – they train from the strong man's national team. Women's team while in that form that there were men after Games in Beijing. And at men in each weight category on four athletes in the twenty of a world rating. Respectively they train with each other. Won't affect, it is sure …

- What changed the decision on appointment as the general manager of the team, and Dmitry Morozov and Konstantin Filosofenko's head coaches in your duties?

- It was necessary to make selection from fifty athletes earlier, then with remained рятнадцатью worked already more profoundly. Now Morozov and Filosofenko help me with this work. We define groups with which work on six senior trainers – in each weight category. We actually work as equals

.- And nevertheless - why Filosofenko and Morozov? It is your preference?

- Absolutely not. It is the team decision. Trainers perfectly know all athletes, know also my ideas. They can independently make the decision, take responsibility on themselves.

- How you find a common language with "a weak half" the Russian national team of judoists?

- In work with women there are, of course, nuances. I understood the following – the man wants to be a leader. The man, becoming the leader, distracts - it is necessary to watch it. The woman – as the soldier, concentrates on training, doesn't see anything round itself. It can give a task and to release – it does exactly that told it.

- Not easy it is necessary to you! And you consider, what at all these nuances and difficulties you can lead team to the Olympic success also as well as man's?

- Certainly! In Rio even it is necessary to men more difficult! They can progress in the present form only for ten percent. Girls at the present level – on forty. The main thing for them - to act not worse than women! I am sure - by 2016 on two sportswomen will be in TOP-16 a world rating in each category.
