The Europe championship on judo of 2014 among veterans will take place in Donetsk. Competitions will take place in Druzhba Sports palace from June 5 to June 8 the next year
The contract on carrying out the veteran championship of the continent in Donetsk, was signed by the president of the European union of judo (EJU) Sergey Soloveychik and the president of federation of judo of Ukraine Nurulislam Arkallayev.
It is expected that more than 800 judoists will participate in the veteran championship of Europe in Donetsk, from 30 to 75 years from 35-40 countries of the Old World. In 2013 the European championship among veterans will take place on June 13-16 in Paris (France).
The European union of judo (EJU) also announced venues of all official starts of 2014. The championship of Europe among men and women will be accepted by the French Monpelye. One of the largest cities in the south of France that is located in 10 km from the coast of the Mediterranean Sea will accept the continental championship on April 24-27 the next year.
- We are very happy that the French federation becomes the organizer of future championship. France is one of the strongest federations of judo not only in Europe, but also in the world, and has a wide experience in the organization of large actions", – Sergey Soloveychik, the president of the European union of judo (EJU) commented on the decision. – Level of the championship of Europe is very high now and will grow further. We would like to show everything that competitions on judo are not less attractive, than on soccer, hockey or other martial arts.
The championship of Europe among athletes till 23 years will take place on November 14-16 in Vrotslava (Poland). The championship of Europe (U21) among juniors will accept on September 19-21 the Romanian Bucharest, and the championship of Europe (U18) among cadets will take place at the end of June to Baku (Azerbaijan).
