Without having lived month to the 79 died anniversary one of the most surprising athletes in the history of our country Alfred Fedorovich KARAShchUK.

The member of the first USSR national team, 41 a year ago given a decisive battle to leaders of the European judo to French at a match meeting in Moscow, the double champion of Europe on judo.
The talented athlete who has come to section with baggage of the first-rank sportsman on five sports, was not less talented scientist and the inventor both in the field of technical science, and in the medicine and sports sphere. It realized itself(himself) on a tatami and a sambistsky carpet both as the fighter, and as the trainer. For a victory in that memorable match with French the foreign press called Karashchuk by "the Russian tank" and he confirmed this status, having won same painful in a year in a command meeting against the Japanese. It was included into structures of national teams of the Soviet Union on sambo and judo, became the deserved master of sports.
He was the real wrestler, never lost optimism and didn't allow to go out to sparkles in eyes.
The federation of judo of Russia deeply grieves to this irreplaceable loss and expresses the most sincere condolences to relatives and Alfred Fedorovich's friends.
