In Kiev the Cup of Europe on top level judo among juniors "A typhoon on a tatami" came to the end. Within two days on May 18 and 19 in a sports arena of Republican highest school of physical culture the strongest athletes from 23 countries combated for prizes and rating balls.

In the current season among participants of the European Cup there were also representatives of the Asian continent - Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. In total in tournament took part 351 athletes - 242 juniors and 109 yuniorok.

Ukraine as the hostess was the most numerous national team - 121 participants. Our children managed to win 20 awards, including 6 gold, and to win medal offset of the Kiev Cup of Europe by U21.

For the first time on tournament the anthem of Ukraine was heard in honor of the Champion of Europe of U17 - 2011киевлянки Olga Smolskoy who rose by the first step of a podium in the weight of 48 kg. On a way to the international award first in this year Olga won against Russian Olga Tarasova, the Austrian of Mary Tabea Kraft, Moldavian Christina Budesku, and in the ending by means of a throw on "vase-ari" at the acting Champion of Ukraine Aliny Sokolovskoy.

Two more gold were brought to the female national team of Ukraine by two strongest young judoists of a prizerka of the cadet World Cup-2011 Anastasia Turchin (78 kg, Rovno regional) and Elizabeth Kalanina (+78 kg, Poltava regional). It is interesting that both on a way to gold carried out on three meetings with the Russian judoists. Won both Turchin, and Kalanina in all fights it is pure. In the ending of the weight of 78 kg Nastya won against Ekaterina Inozemtseva, and Lisa – against Anastasia Trapeznikova.

Three gold in a moneybox of our national team were put by representatives of a men's team.

In the weight  66 kg Anton Chigirik became the champion. The representative of Poltava region in the first two rounds overcame resistance of Ukrainians of Zeynal Guseynova and Anatoly Martyshchenko. Further on "шидо" won against Hungarian Martin Vegvari. In a semi-final Chigirik was stronger than Azerbaijanian Musa Mekhdiyev, and decisive fight of the Cup of Europe against Belarusian Nikolay Phil finished with an assessment "ippon". Let's note that it is Anton Chigirik's first outstanding success in the current season, in the junior Championship of Ukraine it didn't get to prizes.

In the weight  81 kg with gold the bronze prize-winner of national junior superiority of 2013 Igor Shostak from Dnepropetrovsk finished. On a way to an award the judoist got victories over Moldavian Victor Bodisten, Yugoslav Dusan Nikolic, Azerbaijanian Vasif Sharbatli, in a semi-final over Pole Tomash Shchepanyak, and in the ending over Moldavian Gennady Pretivatili ("юко" and "ippon" in favor of the Ukrainian).

In tournament of heavyweights the greatest number of the Ukrainian wrestlers rose by a podium - three. Got a medal of the highest test 18-year-old acting Champion Ukrainy among juniors to Jacob Hammo. During competitions the Donetsk judoist won purely against the Russian Artem Panin and Ukrainian Ruslan Bero. In Hammo's semi-final with the help "vase-ari" passed skilled inhabitant of Kiev Andrey Kolesnik. And in decisive fight  earned "ippon" and I left with our Anton Rudnyk's silver.

Except above-mentioned Alina Sokolovskoy and Anton Rudnyk with silver on a house Cup of Europe of U21 finished in the weight 70 kg of Jan Kryukova (Dnepropetrovsk) and in the weight  52 kg Svetlana Kachnova (Zaporozhye).

In an asset of Ukrainians of 10 bronze awards. By the third step of a podium rose Dmitry Pilipenko (55 kg, Poltava), Artem Falkovsky (60 kg, Kiev), Dmitry Raskin (66 kg, Odessa), Alexander Emchenko (73 kg, Poltava), Victor Makukh (81 kg, Kiev), Yury Pozhar (81 kg, Ivano-Frankovsk), Andrey Gordiyenko (90 kg, Kiev regional), Andrey Kolesnik (+100 kg, Kiev), Natalia Ilkiv (57 kg, Ivano-Frankovsk) and Anastasia Sapsay (+78 kg, Chernigov).

Let's remind that for the Ukrainian juniors the Cup of Europe of U21 in Kiev became the second selection start in a national team which will fight in September in the European championship in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A month ago our judoists won two silver awards on the Cup of Europe of U21 in the Russian St. Petersburg. There vice-champions became Arthur Sargsyan and Anton Rudnyk.

As for the Kiev Cup of Europe of U21, in it it is successful отборолись Russians. Our northern neighbors won on the Ukrainian tatamis of 3 gold, 6 silver, 9 bronze medals and took the second place in medal offset. On the third step Velikorbritaniya - 2 gold and 3 bronze settled down. On one gold athletes of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Hungary and Tajikistan took.

Further relay at the Cup of Europe of U21 in Kiev is accepted by the Spanish Corunna and the Austrian Leibniz. In these cities will pass the next junior continental Cups on May 25-26 and on June 1-2 respectively.
