On May 19, 2013 in Dzerzhinsk passed the II Stage of the Cup of Volga region league of judo in two age groups among juniors and a yuniorok 1994-96 and among young men and girls of 1997-98 of river.

These competitions it is similar to the Cup of the Nizhny Novgorod league of judo, only in them athletes fight for the right to be called as the strongest judoists of the Volga region. The first stage of Volga region league of judo passed in Saratov in February of this year.

111 athletes took part in the II Stage of the Cup of Volga region league of judo, from them 30 juniors and a yuniorok and 62 young men and 19 girls from the following regions: Mordovia, Mari El, Udmurtia, Kirovski, Ulyanovsk, Saratov and Nizhny Novgorod areas. The team of our area was the most numerous, after all athletes took part in competitions from: Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, Kstovo, Pavlovo, Sharangi.

The II Stage of the Cup of Volga region league of judo was carried out in one day in the MAOU DOD specialized hall "Child junior sports school of judo and gymnastics" on three tatamis by the international rules of judo. Our city was represented by pupils of DYuSSh of judo in number of 23 athletes.
