About death of the athlete deserved the trainer of Russia, today reported in Federation of judo of St. Petersburg. The expert died after a continuous illness. The most known pupil of the trainer is Vladimir Putin. In 1964 the head of the country came to train to the first group organized by the late expert.

Afterwards together with the glorified pupil Anatoly Rakhlin published the book and a videocourse on judo. The last time the president met the instructor in May of this year when the trainer marked the 75 anniversary.
