Teams took part in tournament from Retchitsa, Hoynik, Chechersk, Elsk, Nova Guty, Bobovich, Uritsky, Birches, Michurinsk and Loyev.

According to the deputy director of children's and youth sports school Alexander Melnik, healthy lifestyle promotion, judo promoting in the region, perpetuating of memory of Leonid Vasyuk became a main goal of competitions strengthening of friendly relations between young athletes of Gomelshchina.

At opening of competitions there were many guests of honor: Anna Dmitriyevna Vasyuk — the wife of the first trainer, his numerous pupils who were initiators and active participants of tournament. By the way, prior to competitions they visited a grave of the trainer and assigned flowers.

During action opening the present were addressed by the deputy chief of department of education, sports and tourism Tatyana Laguto, the commander of a regiment of a security guard and patrol service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Gomel regional executive committee, the militia colonel Dmitry Zurov and Anna Vasyuk to whom organizers of tournament handed over flowers and a memento.

Judo competitions coincided with carrying out the World day of snow therefore and fans Father Frost came to congratulate participants of tournament. It carried out in the fresh air competition "The snow sniper", and also outdoor games following the results of which to winners sweet prizes were awarded.

Before tournament the skill was shown by employees of a special policy group. They also organized an exhibition of the fighting weapon which caused a great interest in the present.

Competition took place in seven weight categories on two age groups: 2002-2004 of the birth — boys, 2002-2003, and also 2004 and more young — girls.

During persistent wrestlers by champions in the weight categories there were Pavel Erenchuk and Kirill Vorobey from Retchitsa, Irina Gretskaya from Chechersk, Vitaly Olkhov from Nova Guty, Matvei Lezenev and Ksenia Karabut from Hoynik.

Pupils of Loyevsky school of wrestling — Daniil Prussky and Alexey Postelnyak — took the second places, V. Hokhlov trained children. Maria Krupeychenko and Artem Obrubov which trainers are V. Hokhlov and O. Bodrov became bronze prize-winners.

To winners in each category cups, medals and diplomas were handed over, to prize-winners — medals and diplomas.

In the nomination "For a Fast Victory" prizes were won by Alexander Poznyak (trainer O. Bodrov) and Olga Sinilo (trainer V. Veremeenko), "For the will to win" — Alexey Gurinovich (trainer V. Hokhlov).

Memorable cups and diplomas were handed over to all representatives of teams.
