Zaur Efendiyev took the third place on tournament in France

The Dagestan wrestler Zaur Efendiyev playing for Serbia became the bronze prize-winner Memoriala of Henri Deglian in Nice.

For the first time this popular tournament on three styles of the wrestling, bearing a name of the Olympic champion-1924 in Greco-Roman style Henri Deglian's, took place without his founder and the permanent head of the organizing committee Sebastian Guillaume. He died this summer, however its business lives. Present tournament in Nice became the 39th. On all previous Russian wrestlers steadily acted, but this time they for some reason didn't appear among participants.
Serbia on tournament was represented by native of Makhachkala Zaur Efendiyev (74 kg). It carried out five fights, won against Frenchman Yannik Shoze (8:0), Georgian Archila Grigauri (8:4) and Tarzana Maysuradze (6:5) and Japanese Tsukas Sato (7:0). Only defeat from Frenchman Luk Lampis in a semi-final (3:5) didn't allow it to rise above the third place.
In Nice the Latvian wrestler Armands Zvirbulis (84 kg) whom the Dagestan fighters consider long ago also fought. It often comes to be trained to Dagestan where him name precisely Abdullah. Armands took in Nice the second place. He infrequently manages to get in prize-winners of the international competitions, and for him tournament getting into the final in France can be considered as a great success.
