This open republican tournament among juniors was for the first time held last year, it bears a name of Aslanbek Bisultanov who in 1977 the first of the Chechen wrestlers won a title of the world champion. The pupil of the condemned trainer of the USSR Degi Bagayev, it died after a long illness in 2002.

On tournament of memory of the outstanding wrestler more than 150 young athletes from all nearby republics gathered. Dagestan at competitions pupils of schools of wrestling of Khasavyurt represented. Six of them managed to win medals. Ibrahim Ilyasov (60 kg), Mahomed Saipov became winners of tournament (66 kg, both are sch. Sh. Umakhanova) and Mahomed Baygereev (74 kg, sch. brothers Saytiyev), the third places took Zelimkhan Magomedsultanov (50 kg, "Spartak"), Mairbek Harunov (66 kg, sch. brothers Saytiyev) and Adam Hasiyev (74 kg, sch. brothers Irbaykhanov).

More than all medals owners won, four of them received gold awards — Murtuzali Ozdiyev (50 kg), the Imam Tesayev (55 kg), Zanbek Yasulov (84 kg) and Aslan Beybulatov (96 kg). In the heaviest category — to 120 kg — the junior from North Ossetia Dzambolat Tibilov became the champion.
