In Sumy passed tournament in honor of Usik Leonid Sergeyevich which has lost in Afghanistan

Since 2008 the Sumy regional federation of free-style wrestling in December held tournament for young  wrestlers of the freestyle, dated for Day Saint Nikolay.

This time, in connection with financial problems, it appeared under the threat of failure, in due time didn't take place...

But it is wrong and offensive for children, organizers thought and solved: tournament - business of their honor. Quite often happens so that if someone needs the help, it comes. In this case a helping hand of regional federation was given by the Sumy regional organization "SOVEAF" (The union of veterans of Afghanistan). Her heads - the chairman Anatoly Linnik and his deputy Alexey Shatov - quickly and structurally got into gear.

And on January 11-12  passed the VI All-Ukrainian New Year's tournament for children and young people in the sports Olympus complex on free-style wrestling in honor of memory of the sergeant who has lost in Afghanistan Leonid Usik.

Tournament brought together about 150 participants from the Zaporozhye, Odessa, Kiev, Kharkov, Poltava, Sumy areas, and also from Russia (Stary Oskol the Belgorod Region). Children acted in two age groups: 2000-2002 of river and 2003-2005 of river. Weight categories - from 23 to 66 kg.

Children showed,  will repeat, really fascinating wrestling. With captures, throws and an other arsenal of the  wrestler who has rather comprehended science of wrestling. Audience applauded when Nikolay Solodovnikov carried out Fazayev's capture, Ilya Kobchenko - a throw from the second floor, Bogdan Bezkhutry - not less effective receptions. The final duels to the sumchena finished ahead of schedule.

"What the  wrestler of what thinks when comes to a carpet tests? " - "I think only of a victory", - Nikolay Solodovnikov answers. Ilya Kobchenko is frank: "At first nervous trembling at an exit, and then you forget and only you wrestling..."

It is a lot of warm words to the honored trainer of Ukraine Yury Nikolaevich Goluba, his sons, their friends, to veterans of Afghanistan trainers guests, in particular honored trainers of Ukraine Yury Rudenko from Lozova, Petr Korol from Zbarazha told the Ternopol Region, Yury Malyavin from Stary Oskol: "Remarkable tournament! We were on friendly terms and we will be on friendly terms with residents of Sumy. And with pleasure we will come..."
