But then at the last minute told that isn't present: the city closed, is impossible. And we were compelled to look for urgently other address - the first tournament took place in Abakan. Only later it became Krasnoyarsk. I if it is honest, even was surprised that present, it appears, will be already anniversary on the account. 25 years passed! During this time, of course, many events were, a great number of athletes took part in the yaryginskikh tournaments - our, foreign. Began beginners, and over the years became great  wrestlers. Also it is a merit of our tournament, Ivana Yarygina. Ivan Sergeyevich managed to make during lifetime a lot of things. It in everything was the first - the first Olympic champion in Krasnoyarsk Krai, the first double Olympic champion in free-style wrestling in Russia, the first head coach of wrestling national team. They say that life should be lived so that after leaving your affairs continued to please people, to work. It absolutely concerns to Ivan - his name continues to work for to what he devoted all the life. The Ivan Yarygin tournament is an association of society, consolidation of athletes of the different countries. It propagandizes kindness, unity, friendship - in it its main value. Besides, tournament managed to become also rather festive cultural sporting event. Colourful opening, fine concerts, there passes also the closing ceremony not less solemnly: is what to show to our actors, singers, creative collectives. And, certainly, it is effective promotion of mass physical culture. The life, sporting achievements Ivan Yarygin agitated million children, and today his reputation continues this work.

Education of champions

- The Ivan Yarygin tournament becomes every year the first wrestling start in Russia. Here we check, we select national teams of the country for participation in the World Cup, the European championship, it is very serious, most crucial step. After it the main start of the country - the championship of Russia follows. After it, and considering the results shown in the European championship and the World Cup, the national team on the World Cup is completed. So yaryginsky tournament becomes the basic at selection, on it there is a check of already skilled athletes, young talents come to light. It should be noted that we in the region in general had very thought over, systematized program of competitions of the international level. There is at us the international tournament among young men on prizes of the triple Olympic champion Buvaysar Saytiyev. On it we select the best of young men.

- How I treated a sensation which was lifted by the International Olympic Committee, suggested to exclude wrestling from the Olympic program? In the same way, as this offer was apprehended around the world. The Olympic Games began in due time with wrestling and track and field athletics. It is necessary to understand that in each sport there are wrestling elements - absolutely in everyone. Even in the same chess! What do commentators speak? "Wrestling between grand masters came to the end with a victory of this or that applicant". It is impossible to withdraw wrestling is a single combat, competitiveness and if we move away her what it there will be Olympic Games? I am grateful to all who opposed this absurdity. To our Olympic champions, many of which handed over the Olympic medals, having declared that refuse a rank of Olympic champions. Presidents of many countries including Vladimir Putin, expressed in this respect unambiguously. Americans very sharply responded, Japanese, Turks, the Iranians, both Koreas, Mongolia - a set of the countries in which wrestling consider as one of foremost, originally national sport, the most ancient. Vessels with the image of wrestling fights found at excavation of the settlements existing still B.C. And this and really the most ancient history was offered to be deleted the richest!

We defended wrestling. Today rules in it are changed, and it appeared very fruitful decision: wrestling became more spectacular, dynamic, active. Though personally I think that rules should be corrected still. Wrestling is much richer, than it is treated by rules. What is governed? This obligatory restriction. The  wrestler needs to defeat the rival, and the judge didn't allow it to do. Or the  wrestler pulled out the rival for a carpet, pushed out - it is necessary to punish for it, and to it gave for it point. Why at such rules to apply receptions, to risk when quite enough to win wrestling, having pushed out the rival from a wrestling circle? Nonsense, certainly. Therefore I think that today wrestling on a right way, and the Krasnoyarsk citizens who have come to tournament, expects very bright show.

From heels to hair

- I wrote the encyclopedia which entered 500 wrestling receptions and counterreceptions. You represent, them the  wrestler should know five hundred, miss through himself therefore wrestling develops the person from heels to hair. I always speak if someone doubts it: let me be already old person, but I am ready to come to a carpet and to show that such wrestling.

Take any people - both Turks, and Iranians and our Russians always were famous for the great  wrestlers. When such athletes as Ivan Poddubny, Ivan Shemyakin, Ivan Zaikin, came abroad, on their power people judged Russia. And such people are trained by wrestling!

All sports are fine: there are no bad sports, there are bad performers. But that wrestling it as bread - the main thing, I am convinced of it. Wrestling - to all the head: in each sport, I will repeat, there are wrestling fragments. And all our life is, in fact, too wrestling: the person lives, overcoming difficulties, fights against them. It and man's courage, daring, but also the highest policy. When abroad in honor of a victory of our athletes plays the anthem of Russia, all listen and think: oh, it is necessary to reckon with this country, in Russia there will be people who can stand for it. By the way, the Russian anthem in honor of a victory of our  wrestlers was executed already by about 400 times, and 40 times it sounded in honor of Ivan Yarygin.

Wrestling, soccer and rugby

- Whether am I the fan, the admirer of other sports? I can confess that I am the hot football fan. In the childhood itself well I played, I was the left forward and in protection not bad I stand. In wrestling USSR national team we always drove soccer with colleagues collections, boxers, other athletes. By the way, Buvaysar Saytiyev the great football player, and Vanya Yarygin was the amazing goalkeeper removing balls from the nine. He stood in a gateway simply professionally, after all from a football goal for him sports in due time and began. So I adore soccer. In rugby there is all! I communicate and with our winter roads, very much I appreciate ski jumping, ski disciplines. Any kind of sports, it very necessary. But soccer, probably, remains nevertheless special for me - I wait for the summer World Cup with huge impatience. And during the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, of course, I will surely worry about Krasnoyarsk citizens winter roads.

It is our University games!

- I know that the relation to carrying out in our city of winter University games of 2019 at Krasnoyarsk citizens, unfortunately, you won't call absolutely unanimous. As for personally me, I completely support the victory won in application campaign. Why? Remember that received our city, for example, in 1997 when we held the World Cup. Perfectly repaired, restored sports constructions, the airport, roads, hotels. New constructions which and now work were constructed, and will continue this work further. In the summer I was in Kazan which accepted summer University games. In this city I am the frequent guest. In Tatarstan wrestling is well developed. But the feeling from the last visit was such as if got on other planet: it is built so many that the acquaintance to me the city I knew with great difficulty well. Not only new sports constructions, but also cultural institutions, a life, traffic intersections - beauty! Here to you real result of carrying out such rank of competitions. Our Krasnoyarsk will so strikingly change also. Yes, it is necessary to be spent, but our city, edge will receive a lot of things. And all this remains to inhabitants. It is growth, a wide step forward for Krasnoyarsk mentions about which during University games won't abate around the world. It is sure that with pleasure our many other regions would use the right of carrying out student's games, but this wrestling was won by us, and I am very proud of it.

I remember what was Krasnoyarsk in the 1955th when I after demobilization arrived here. The wooden sidewalks, the smoked houses... Gyms on all city of "Dynamo" moreover "Locomotive" - all. It was possible to remain at such level? It is impossible. Always it is necessary to look forward, to move further. It as in the war: occupied the base, were fixed, and again forward - again wrestling. One clever person told that it is impossible to win once and for all, it is necessary to win every day, each hour.
