Arsene Fadzayev visited a national team arrangement on sports base in Adler.

Let's remind that at recent report-back election conference of the Federation of Wrestling of Russia (FWR) the well-known Ossetian athlete, the double Olympic champion is elected the first vice-president of this organization who is responsible for free-style wrestling. These days the national team prepares for the European championship, and Arsene Fadzayev arrived on collecting team to Adler that will examine training process, preparation conditions, to discuss the current questions with trainers and to support athletes in anticipation of responsible start.

— Before training I directly in a hall communicated to children — Arsene Fadzayev told in telephone conversation to the correspondent wrestdag.ru. — I wanted to let know to children that they perceived me not as the chief and as the assistant to whom they can address on any questions. For my part at me to them only one request: to be worthy victorious traditions of national team which put and predecessors supported them. Now the national team appeared in a little difficult situation as after London almost all participants of the Olympic Games, and it is our leaders, for various reasons appeared out of work. In the forthcoming European championship they will be replaced generally by young wrestlers, debutants of a national team whom I urged to like importance of the moment and to make everything to keep leading positions of our country on the international scene.

— For certain to you asked questions in connection with a possible exception of wrestling of the Olympic program. What did you tell about it?

— It is sure that the worst won't occur. I told children that measures at the highest level the leaderships of Russia on preservation of the Olympic wrestling are now undertaken. A lot of work in this direction is carried out by the president of FSBR Mikhail Mamiashvili, and it, repeat, has full support of the country leaders. Actively Americans who, as we know, are ancestors of free-style wrestling were connected to this question also. I don't think that such great powers as Russia and the USA, having combined efforts, will allow that wrestling disappeared from the program of Games.

By the way, for the end of April carrying out in Moscow the extraordinary congress of FILA which has to play an important role in definition of strategy of actions on preservation of our sport in the Olympic family is planned.

— How to you conditions of carrying out collecting in Adler?

— I will tell you that when I acted, anything similar wasn't, I didn't see such magnificent conditions and on sports bases abroad. Our wrestlers have at the order of halls on six carpets, football fields, the pool, tennis courts, a gym, they live in comfortable numbers, eat at restaurant. What is necessary? From children it is required to train and yield diligent only result, and they are provided to all with the rest and if something doesn't suffice to them, let address to me.

— Whether there is at Russian national team a medal plan for the European championship?

— As that plan on medals isn't present, but there is a task — to take a command first place. It even isn't present need to sound, it and so is clear to all.

— Instead of you are afraid, what the team of owners which is now very strong can compete with the Russian wrestlers?

— Our Georgian brothers, of course, will try, but they won't be upset if take the second place, having conceded us the first. For us the second place is equivalent to the last.
