In Surgut s/c "Drygba" passed traditional All-Russian tournament on free-style wrestling among the young men, devoted to memory of the director of SDYuSShOR of "Yugoria" of Ararat Agvanovich Piloyan.

This competition gains every year popularity and long ago became a brand of Surgut. And this time it received the status All-Russian. Tournament brought together the best athletes aged from 10 till 15 years.

To Surgut there arrived nearly 300 athletes from Kurgan, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Perm and other cities of Russia. Wrestlers competed in 15 weight categories.  By results of two days of competitions most of all awards residents of Surgut won.  In their asset of 23 medals, four of them — gold.

It should be noted that organizers of tournament arranged at opening the real holiday for athletes and the audience:  there were here speeches of various actors, numbers performed by art gymnasts and even laser show.

Sounded at opening and welcome speech from the president of Federation of free-style wrestling of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra of the head of the Nefteyugansk district of Vladimir Nikolaevich Semenov which was read by his deputy who has arrived on tournament.

 "Looking at young wrestelrs, I can tell that on tactical conducting wrestling or a hardware they don't concede to the more adult contemporaries.  Also on a carpet their tactical thinking is already looked through and preparation" is felt — the chief judge of competitions Dzhabrail Seferbekov noted.  Following the results of tournament the first place was taken by the national team of Surgut, the second — Langepas, the third — Novy Urengoy.

Upon termination of tournament we have a talk with the president of Federation of free-style wrestling Surgutaismail Akhmedov who told us about the problems existing at Federation and ways of their decision.

— The federation of free-style wrestling will be able to organize the international competitions, there are resources for carrying out?

—  Resources are.  Last tournament showed that we will cope with any task.  We are helped by "Yugory's" SDYuSShOR, but these are insignificant means.  The main item of expenditure on themselves is taken by sponsors, patrons to whom from Federation I express profound gratitude.  This tournament became All-Russian, and money will begin to arrive from the district budget, since 2014.  But in a percentage ratio of expense for the organization of tournament make 70 for 30, 70% — these are money of sponsors.  And, by the way, free-style wrestling — is the Olympic sport, and for all the time it brought more than 40 gold medals in country assets.

— What problems, besides financing, at free-style wrestling in Surgut?

— The main and main problem — it that there are no rooms for trainings, from schools us asked, and in exchange to us didn't provide places where athletes could perfect the skill.

— New fast-erected sports objects which constructed near schools, could be used for occupation by free-style wrestling?

— Certainly. We with this question addressed to the Mayor, to us promised that we will be able to master these areas, these objects is planned to construct eight buildings. The federation with impatience expects when we will be able to begin there training process.

Ararat Piloyan died in 2009, on the eve of long-awaited opening of sport center of Yugory school which he headed for many years. During the life he was marked out by a set of awards for a contribution to development of physical culture in Surgut and district, and also awarded by the president for merits in sports development. Being the sensitive and talented head, it deserved respect for colleagues and that the most important for any teacher — love of the pupils. Under its management young athletes, at all without having the own building for trainings, not once became prize-winners of competitions of the Russian scale.
